CHURCH WEDDINGS

Marriage is celebrated in the Catholic Church between a man and woman after a period of formation.

As soon as couples think they would like to be married in the Catholic Church they should make contact with the Parish Priest to make sure that all requirements have been satisfied in Canon Law and civil law. A date can then be finalised for the marriage when the Parish Priest will be the authorised person present to celebrate the marriage (either a Nuptial Mass or Marriage Service, where appropriate). 

Baptismal Certificates need to be produced for all Catholics and Christians. 

There is much administration needed to be undertaken well before the marriage so please do make contact with the Parish Priest as soon as you can in order to avoid disappointment.
